Motodynamics Group supports volunteers who are present in every emergency
The effects of the climate crisis are now evident in Greece, while in recent years a new chapter of the volunteer movement is being developed by Humanity Greece that enables citizens of all ages to contribute voluntarily through the Voluntary Coordination Hub it has set up in Metaxourgeio.
Humanity Greece, with the support of Motodynamics Group, has formulated a preparation and readiness plan for the immediate intervention of volunteers within the battlefields, in consultation with the competent authorities, for feedback on emergency items to the forces that operate there.
The Humanity Greece volunteer team is an effective agent for the protection of local communities, providing fast and organized assistance in dealing with critical situations. This is thanks to the fact that, in the context of its actions, the Motodynamics Group has secured the necessary fleet of vehicles for the team’s immediate intervention in any part of the country as necessary. Preparation and preparedness are critical for an effective response to emergencies, and volunteer input is now important in any emergencies that may arise.
In the context of the new Firefighting strategy and in view of the start of the firefighting period for 2024, trained volunteer teams will be immediately informed of their required contribution in the field. That’s a significant change as regards the direct involvement in the extinguishing operation of the volunteer firefighters, who, according to standard practice, participate in the extinguishing operation at a later stage.
“Volunteers who are present in every emergency”
More specifically, the aim of the continuous support offered by Motodynamics Group, which has provided a fleet of vehicles, is to ensure the team’s immediate intervention in the field where necessary, supporting the affected societies and making a decisive contribution through the provision of humanitarian aid.
Since 2021 until today, Humanity Greece volunteers have intervened in 27 affected areas and over 157 forest fires with the most recent major fire being that on the Pieria Mountains in early April.
