MOTODYNAMICS Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Athens University of Economics and Business
Athens, November 30, 2023 – On Wednesday, November 29, the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and MOTODYNAMICS signed a Cooperation Agreement aimed at connecting the academic community with the business world. The signing of this important cooperation was carried out by the Rector of AUEB Professor Dimitris Bourantonis and the President and CEO of MOTODYNAMICS, Paris Kyriakopoulos.
The aim of the cooperation is to strengthen the relationship between the business and academic communities in order to develop joint initiatives to support businesses, innovation, and to strengthen research and the connection of AUEB students and graduates with the labour market, but also to offer to vulnerable social groups.
The two sides agreed on a joint action plan based onthe following pillars:
“Liaison with Businesses”: The programme includes the possibility of internships for AUEB students in MOTODYNAMICS, but also the possibility of staffing the company with new personnel who possess modern skills
“Liaison with the Community”: Physical or online meetings of senior and top MOTODYNAMICS executives, in order for them to transfer their experience to AUEB students. Respectively, visits of students to MOTODYNAMICS facilities can be organized in order for them to get to know the workplace and the operation of a business
“Liaison with Research”: Preparation of projects, analyses or studies on issues related to the interest of MOTODYNAMICS. Such preparation can be done through work and case studies prepared by AUEB students
“Upskilling”: Design and provision of training programs by the AUEB Lifelong Learning Centre, aiming at the upskilling of MOTODYNAMICS employees
“Student grants”: Provision of an annual grant to cover the cost of living of a student from a border area relating to his/her high academic performance
“Social Responsibility & Offering”: Participation of MOTODYNAMICS as a supporter in conferences, competitions/awards and other events to be organised by AUEB
“AuebCasts”: Creation Webcast or Podcast productions on contemporary topics.
Regarding the cooperation, the Rector of AUEB, Professor Dimitris Bourantonis, stated the following: “This is a new partnership with a modern company governed by the same values and principles that AUEB’s Social Responsibility and Contribution programme firmly supports. We are excited to welcome our joint initiatives and reflect on the extent of our responsibility and obligation – as a university institution – on issues that support the interconnection of our students with the market, but also our contribution to society, especially towards vulnerable social groups.”
The CEO of MOTODYNAMICS, Paris Kyriakopoulos, stated the following regarding the collaboration: “The Partnership Agreement underlines our commitment to building a bridge between academic excellence and business innovation. The Athens University of Economics and Business is the leading Greek University in its fields and is particularly active in linking education with the labour market.
