YAMAHA MOTODYNAMICS at HELLAS RALLY 2023

HELLAS RALLY – 21 to 28 May 2023 (Karpenisi – Lake Plastiras): Yamaha TENERE 700, a motorcycle for EVERYTHING!

For the second time in around a month, the Yamaha TENERE 700 was put to the test again in the toughest riding conditions. Seven consecutive days of racing based in Karpenisi, an overnight stay at Lake Plastiras and a total of 1,200 kilometres on terrain that changed daily. On the one hand rain, plenty of mud and fog, on the other sun and colours, with nature at its best. The weather was neither an ally nor an enemy, since motorcycle and rider proved that they do not give up, whatever happens!

A motorcycle that is “good for everything” were the words of its rider, Thanasis Choundras, after the finish; he accepted the challenge of facing any test and seeing it through by taking part in Hellas Rally 2023. The Yamaha TENERE 700 can uniquely combine the agility of competition single-cylinder bikes with the behaviour of the large travel enduros.

Our own feelings were just as changeable, as we watched them set off early each morning freshly washed and ready for the next ordeal. Adrenaline was sky-high as we followed their every move on the organisers' tracking system… And on every return, we welcomed them with a loud round of applause. They had made it once again, even if they came back unrecognisable from the mud and hardship. Both know that a few hours are enough for rest and preparation before the next stage of the race.

The day of the finish arrives, and the TENERE proves once again Yamaha's racing DNA. The reliability and unique riding behaviour of a Yamaha TENERE, combined with the experience and calm of Thanasis Choundras, can and does do EVERYTHING!
