Porsche's "Festival of Dreams" made history and provoked great emotions
The festival was held for the first time in Greece on the occasion of the Company’s 75 years celebration and amazed the legendary brand’s fans.
In an atmosphere of joy and dynamism, but also with the adrenaline that befits the Porsche legend, the “Festival of Dreams” was held by Motodynamics, through which Porsche celebrated its 75 years in Greece and around the world (1948-2023). It was the first Porsche festival held on Greek soil, offering to Porsche fans for the first time the opportunity to discover the unique charm of the sports cars in a journey through time where yesterday meets today, and technological innovation and design excellence meet beauty and detail.
The two-day festival turned up the heat of emotions and fuelled the interest of a large audience that flooded the cool and welcoming Voula Beach A, a venue which turned into a meeting point for people who love motoring and identify with the Porsche values.
The start of the great celebration was marked by a glamorous party on the evening of Friday, June 9, where the 250 distinguished guests of Motodynamics toured the festival grounds, saw classic and modern Porsche cars, enjoyed haute cuisine and had fun with the live music of Vicky Bee and her band. During the event, Mr. Paris Kyriakopoulos, Chairman and CEO of Motodynamics, the Porsche dealer in Greece since 2011, took the floor. Mr. Kyriakopoulos shared with the attendees the emotional bond he has with Porsche, a passion he used to share with his father. Specifically, he mentioned that his first memory of the brand comes from the age of 5, when he travelled with his father in a Porsche 911, while he has lived many experiences on and off the track.
The next day, Saturday, June 10 at 11:00 am the festival opened its gates to the general public, offering until 21:00 unforgettable moments to children and adults who flooded the beach, which had been transformed into an interactive multi-purpose venue full of surprises.
Visitors had the opportunity to travel through time and see classic cars and iconic models, starting with the legendary 356, the first Porsche roadster created in 1948, and learn the 75-year history through the Porsche museum that contained great highlights, important dates and human milestones. Among the highlights of the festival was the painting in a Carrera performed live by the internationally renowned artist Insane51 who is known for his unique photorealistic technique that mixes the third dimension with street art. Another major highlight was the special Photobooth with the electric Taycan in the background dressed in the colours of the 75 years, where everyone was capturing the scene. In addition, the festival visitors had the opportunity to see a small outdoor museum with exhibits for the 60 years of the Tag Heuer Carrera watch family, but also to learn how to get a Porsche through the personalized mobility programs offered by Sixt, the company with many years of experience and expertise in premium mobility that offered special prices for the festival visitors.
But also the little friends of Porsche had a lot of fun in the kids areas, riding cars and motorcycles. Yamaha offered some educational entertainment to our little friends through the Yamaha Junior Academy. In a specially configured area, small riders were introduced to the world of two wheels and safe driving by renowned and experienced instructors. A driving experience was also offered to older children, who had the opportunity to drive a Porsche through original simulators in a real track environment and chose a level of difficulty!
Of course, the menu included music and street food, but also the live broadcasting of Le Mans, the most famous motorsport endurance race that celebrated its 100 years. Polygreen with its JUSTGOZERO programme for circular waste management was naturally there as well. The Company presented itself and confirmed the brand’s commitment and the strategic priority of the Motodynamics Group, where the two companies are set to substantially contribute to the formation of a sustainable economic model with a smaller environmental footprint.
The Festival of Dreams has now been added to a series of events taking place in Greece this year on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Porsche maiden car, No. 1 Roadster that was launched in 1948, the first sports car of modern times.
