New Actions and Initiatives
The cooperation between the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and the MOTODYNAMICS Group is ongoing consistently and constantly evolving through new actions and initiatives.
In this context, SIXT Greece, a member of the Motodynamics Group, co-organized with the Department of Statistics of AUEB, the competition entitled: “DataDrive Challenge: Fueling Insights with Motodynamics | SIXT” for the MSc in Statistics students.
The competition offered postgraduate students the opportunity to demonstrate their competencies and enhance their skills in real-world business environment.

Successful Conduct of the SIXT & AUEB Competition
As part of this collaboration, the competition organised by SIXT Greece and the Athens University of Economics and Business for the students of the Department of Statistics was successfully completed on Wednesday 12 March at the facilities of the Motodynamics Group in Maroussi.
Acknowledging the importance of education and its link to entrepreneurship, SIXT Greece organised the competition with the aim of upskilling young students and preparing them for today’s labour market. At the same time, it offered participants an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by businesses in an ever-changing and competitive environment.
The award ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Rector of the Athens University of Economics and Business, Professor Vasileios Vasdekis, along with Professor Dimitrios Karlis and AUEB Communication Officer Nikolaos Kyrezis.
On the part of the Motodynamics Group & SIXT Greece the following attended the event and took part in the selection of the winners: Ms. Maira Passia, Sustainability & Corporate Communications Director, Mr. George Livaditis SIXT Division Manager and Mr. Christos Chantzis Pricing & Yield Manager.

Students who stood out for innovative ideas and presentations were awarded valuable prizes, thanks to the support of the Yamaha brand of the MOTODYNAMICS Group:

A Collaboration with Vision
The collaboration between the Athens University of Economics and Business and the Motodynamics Group envisages to bridge the academic and the business community, promoting knowledge, innovation and excellence. Focusing on academia–business link, student upskilling, research support, and social responsibility, this partnership aspires to create an educational experience that empowers the next generation of professionals and contributes meaningfully to a sustainable and dynamic ecosystem. Through continuous actions and opportunities, this collaboration will continue to add value, enhancing the future of the university community and the labour market.
Upon completion of the competition, the President of the Department of Statistics of AUEB, Professor Ioannis Ntzoufras, stated: “I would like to express my warm thanks to the MOTODYNAMICS Group and SIXT Greece for organizing this competition for our Department’s MSc in Statistics. The successful conduct of the “DataDrive Challenge: Fueling Insights with Motodynamics | SIXT” marks another significant step toward upskilling our students and connecting them with real-world business practices. Through initiatives like this, our students gain valuable experience and apply their knowledge to contemporary challenges in the industry. We warmly thank the management of MOTODYNAMICS Group and SIXT Greece for their invaluable support in organizing and evaluating the competition, as well as for their generous prizes awarded to our winning students. The Director of the “MSc in Statistics”, Professor Dimitrios Karlis, added “Motodynamics is a company that has invested heavily in data and works with data to gain as much knowledge as possible. This competition was a first-class opportunity for our postgraduate program students to work with real data on real problems, and to create new insights. I believe that all sides have benefited from this and we hope and wish that this cooperation will be sustained in the near future.”
Following the student presentations and the award ceremony, Mr. George Livaditis, General Manager of SIXT Greece, commented on the event saying: “We are very excited by the presentations and the evaluation process of the three very good papers today. It is worth mentioning that they offered real proposals and ideas that are applicable to our day-to-day business. Such initiatives fully link the market and businesses with Universities and research and we will always assist in such efforts. After all, excellence and evolution are concepts that we, as a company and a group, stand and strive for. We thank the Rector, the supervising professors and, of course, the students for today’s meeting and we look forward to broader cooperation.”
