Porsche Classic Road Tour 2023
The ultimate driving experience on a trip that will be unforgettable.
The Porsche Classic Road Tour, which took place on 6 and 7 May as part of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of Porsche sports cars (1948 – 2023), provided rich emotions and exciting feelings.
The company that changed the course of the automotive industry celebrates, remembers its heritage and rediscovers itself through a series of special actions and events in the world and in Greece. In this case, the Classic Road Tour is perfectly consistent with the fact that the road is the natural environment of every Porsche car, highlighting routes of authentic beauty where drivers enjoy every kilometer on the tarmac.
Specifically, it was two full days of intense emotions that can only be born at the wheel of a Porsche. Starting from the historic Olympic stadium, the colourful convoy started on Saturday, May 6, heading to Itea. Arvanitsa, almost at the top of Mount Elikonas, was the first stop for coffee and local pies, in a beautiful alpine landscape. Then, after a 95 km route with incredible views of the Corinthian Gulf, the dozens of participants arrived in Amfissa to enjoy their lunch in one of the oldest coffee houses in the country.
The tour continued through the villages of Ag. Efthymia, Penteoria, Vounichora and Malandrino, Sykia, Stromi and Kaloskopi, down to the coastal town of Itea where the mission spent the night at the Nafsika Palace Hotel. The participants then took a short drive to the beautiful Galaxidi for dinner at the renowned restaurant of Maritsa, with the classic Porsche cars attracting all eyes.
The second day included a route through Bralos and Damastas; the waypoint was the village of Iraklia, where the famous special route of Bralos begins. After 20 km, arrival at the shelter of Oiti and shortly after in the picturesque village of Athanasios Diakos, where participants enjoyed traditional dishes with the excellent meats of the Ravanis family.
The Porsche Classic Road Tour ended on the evening of Sunday 6 May with the way back to Athens, which included 55 enjoyable kilometres in the green nature and the remaining 190 kilometres on the motorway.
It was an unforgettable experience for those who participated, proving that since 1948 the Porsche No. 1 Roadster to date, the thrill, adrenaline, innovation and style of Porsche has remained unchanged.
